The 29th Judicial Circuit is a TWO-COUNTY circuit shared by Clinton and Gratiot Counties. 2 Circuit Judges rotate between courthouses biweekly: Hon. Cori E. Barkman is on the bench in Clinton County the 1st and 3rd week of each month (Gratiot County the 2nd/4th weeks), and Hon. Shannon L.W. Schlegel does the reverse. Hon. Lisa Sullivan (Chief Judge of the Probate Court) is also assigned to preside as a Family Court judge alongside Barkman and Schlegel under the 'one family, one judge' concept.
